German Kevlar Helmet What Happened To All The German Helmets At The End Of WW2? Were They Melted For Scrap Or Sold On As Surplus?

What happened to all the german helmets at the end of WW2? Were they melted for scrap or sold on as surplus? - german kevlar helmet

Or was stolen from the design. Modern USA search Kevlar helmets, as they rarely. I believe that no one had the money to pay the patent, ... Or not? Thus, for example, the Dutch Romanina and helmets are identical ... or have been licensed for both countries sent from another location?

Helmets are not as trusted computer after the victory over Nazi Germany, therefore, not eliminate, even little attention to them. They were like memories, scrap metal sold to collectors, the movie studios, etc. sold

There was no licensing of patents or design with the design of the helmet to do. The modern American city with modern materials for added strength, but it is obvious that the German helmets used in the design to maximize assistance to protect the head.

Note: There is some confusion in the initial reactions. German WW1 helmets were the spear "top" of the emperor decided to Germany in the 1st World War, not WW2.

The difference is the American modern Kevlar helmets could stop a bullet. Old WW2 German do not. Just ask all the Emperor's men, who had an encounter with Hitler on the other side.

In fact, we have decided to leave the upper end of the Kevlar.

I do not know the answer to some of your questions. But many German helmets are potholes. My grandfather was an engineer with metals, and he and his colleagues have to do after the war money. As others were melted in steel, have been making for all sorts of things, hammers, shovels, etc. Some other facts in the hands of those who wanted as souvenirs.

I've just finished my September '07 issue of WW2 Journal, Vol.22, No.5., 79.It page shows images of German WW2 helmets and was after the war. Recycled People in England, France, the Netherlands and Germany, and as sieves and pans and chamber pots!
I can imagine the smile on his face when WW2 survivors stood in the middle of the night and a German helmet use a urinal.

Many of the helmets were especially on the hull of the SS, film studios sold in Europe and the USA. Prompts they were because of the influx of films from the Second World War, many are expected to fulfill. And study because of the extreme care Props study, offer most of a certain period of time.

The helmet design - there was - was not stolen. No patents for such things, if they can change quickly. "License" for the production does not apply for the same reasons. The former United States evolved from the development study of the past, along with new equipment and Kevlar classic'German and has only superficial similarity to the design that has evolved over 30 years.
